English Wine Week – 27th May – 4th June 2017
English Wine Week is to raise awareness of English Wine across the country, it starts over the May bank holiday which is the start of the tourist season. Vineyards all over the country will be opening their doors to the general public and there will be lots to do and see. Here are a few of our favourite English Wines:
English Sparkling Wine from Lyme Bay Winery – A fruity sparkling wine made from Seyval Blanc grapes. Perfect for any occasion. Best served chilled.
Dart Valley Reserve from Sharpham Vineyards – A carefully blended slightly off-dry white wine has a light fresh character achieved using a variety of grapes - Madeleine Angevine, Phoenix and Bacchus and partially aged in American Oak. The wine has a pleasant fruity aroma and a delicate flavour.
Shoreline Vintage 2015 White Wine from Lyme Bay Winery - A crisp and refreshing wine with subtle notes of pineapple lime and rose petals. A perfect match with seafood.
Vintage Yearlstone Brut from Yearlstone Vineyard - An excellent sparkling wine made using the traditional champagne method, crisp and lively with its own distinct character.
