With Easter, just around the corner are you looking for inspiration of things to do, there are lots of things to do in Devon, whether it’s a simple walk to take in the surrounding beauty or activities to do with the children.  Here are a few ideas:

The Donkey Sanctuary – Sidmouth

Activities start on the 1st April and include an Easter holiday hunt, carrot seed planting and of course meeting the gorgeous donkeys.

Budleigh Salterton Drink & Food Festival – 8th & 9th April

The festival celebrated the best of East Devon food and drink and provides full entertainment for the whole family.  All produce is local and ranges from local gin, cider to handmade sweet treats.  Not only are there lots of delicious treats on offer but there is also a new acoustic stage sponsored by the Exeter Academy of Music & Sound and this event is also free entry during the day.

Exeter Racecourse – Family Day – 11th April

Family day takes place on April 11th and is free for children.  There are lots of children’s activities throughout the day including face painting and Sid and Scrat from Ice Age the film will be making appearances on the day.   There will be a chance to pat and groom the Dartmoor ponies and races taking place to include two pony races.

Dawlish Walking Festival – 21st April – 1st May

This is the second Dawlish Walking Festival to take place and will include more than 40 walks.  There will be long walks but also some short walks in and around the town, taking in the spectacular scenery of Devon.
