Sandford Orchards

Sandford Orchard was established in 2003 by Barney Butterfield, whose childhood love of apple trees and “scrumping” turned into a commercial business. The business was initially started in the parish of Sandford where Barney and his wife grew up, they have since moved to Lower Park farm a couple of miles away. The apples they press are still harvested locally from Sandford where the majority of their orchards are traditional large trees producing a variety of cider apples, some of the orchards have been saved from extinction. In addition Sandford Orchard produce a selection of desert fruit including cherries, pears and plums to make freshly pressed juices, Victorian lemonade and ginger beer amongst others.
