Midfields granola was started in 2003 but the idea and concept was much earlier, when Sharon Davies ran a successful Bed and Breakfast on Dartmoor. She started making her own granola from a recipe given to her by a friend, it was so successful she started selling it to her guests when they left.
Eventually the bed and breakfast business had to go as the granola became increasingly popular with delicatessens, farm shops and health food shops. In 2009 Midfields Granola had to move to a small unit in Mortenhampstead, where it now employs 4 people and a driver.
The granola is still produced using the same natural ingredients, using the original hand cooking method. Midfield Granola is a growing cottage industry who is proud of its “Made in Devon” origins.
